How to Slow Down Milk Production
#1. Try to breastfeed from just one side during each nursing session. Alternate each feeding session.
If this doesn’t work you can try “block feeding,” which is when you nurse only from one side for up to six hours.
If you need to relieve some pressure, you can hand express just a little.
Reduce the supply by decreasing some demand. You may need to repeat this process a few times.
#2. Try to avoid extra breast stimulation.
#3. Apply cool compresses to the breast.
#4. Sage and Thyme tea have been known to help reduce supply.
