I started bleeding while we were on vacation during my 6th week of pregnancy! There was no access to health care while we were on a boat abroad and I was afraid that I had miscarried. Now that we are home, we are on the way to the doctor’s office to get an ultrasound done and to get some answers. It took a bit of calling around, and we switched our caregiver two times before settling on getting checked out at the Cleveland Clinic. The nurse got me in for a blood test the day that I called and in for an ultrasound the next day.
The blood test came back positive and consistent with 7 weeks of pregnancy! We also got to see and hear baby Mitchell during the ultrasound and they diagnosed a subchorionic hemorrhage.
